the latest rumours which have not been denied by Microsoft indicate that the next Xbox will have AMD's HD Radeon 6670 which currently is about £120. it will allow the new Xbox to have Direct X 11 graphics and multi display compatibility. this is still disappointing for most gamers as this in PC gaming terms is already out of date. and won't even play the latest battlefield on minimum settings at 1080p resolution at 60 fps.
by the time the new Xbox is scheduled to be released at E3 in 2013 AMD will have already have released their 8000 series graphics chips meaning the Xbox would be 2 generations behind the PC gamers.
Xbox 720 Storage:
there has been no details from Microsoft relating to the storage media but the best option would be to use the blu-ray discs like the PlayStation as it will allow a greater storage with more detail and longer games. but with the blu ray technology belonging to Sony chances are the Xbox won't use it. another unlikely alternative would be cloud storage this would be slower and a decent internet connection would be needed to run games smoothly other guesses have been talking about flash drives or game cartridge similar to Nintendo's or possibly they could be bringing back the HD DVD.
Controller:
the new controller has said the to be smaller but a similar style and same button layout to the Xbox's controller and the Kinect has been improved with a CPU to track your movements with even more precision.
Microsoft Kills the trading of used games:
Microsoft has said that it is implementing a system where only one user have one copy of a game in an attempt to stop the used game market. Microsoft want to try solve this problem as millions of games have been traded in for a cheap price and sold at a high price where the developer gets no money for the purchase. this could be similar to the online pass but for the whole single player as well.
PC gamers are used this already with your game linking to your account but it is something console gamers are going to have to put up with.
Xbox 720 using windows 8?
Microsoft wants to create a system of apps and games which work between windows phone windows and the next Xbox. so is this indicating that the next console will be running a variant windows 8?
